The ,Ovo Public Division also incorporates the 22 Line, signed by Paulo Mendes da Rocha—one of the greatest names in Brazilian architecture and winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2006—together with architects Marta Moreira and Milton Braga, cofounders of the MMBB studio. Originally created for Sesc 24 de Maio community center, these furniture pieces are now produced in scale: chair, low and high armchairs, sofa/tete-a-tete sofa, and side table. The 22 Line was designed as a furniture system—the low armchair, the high armchair, and the tete-a-tete sofa, for example, all feature the same shell seat, optimizing production and allowing greater flexibility in the use (and maintenance) of the pieces.
